Immaculate room, friendly hosts, delightful breakfast, with lots of local knowledge shared, and we were well looked after during our two-night stay with an ensuite and a flat-screen TV, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration.
Nothing that I didn’t like.

Oh mate, the homemade shortbread was a game-changer, and Phil whipped up the best Cumbrian breakfast I’ve ever had! Plus, the hosts went above and beyond with little touches that made our stay special.
The rooms weren’t massive, but we were more than comfy with our stuff expertly tucked away.

Perfect getaway for couples
Had an really good time during our 2 nights. Phil and Helen were attentive hosts, always available to assist us. Breakfast was amazing, particularly Helen's baked goods that welcomed us upon arrival. We even caught a glimpse of Phil’s photography skills around the hotel, adding a unique flair to the atmosphere. The view from our room was amazing, the kind of scenery that’s lovely.
It wasn't exactly cheap but worth every penny.

would come again
Room was spotless and had a beautiful view of the mountains. Great amenities like a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and free toiletries made the stay comfortable. Breakfast was hearty and included locally sourced bacon. Phil and Helen were super welcoming, and the homemade shortbread on arrival was a lovely touch.

missingWrote a review on 27 Febroom size
The room size is a bit cramped, which might be a dealbreaker for some. Road noise from the nearby busy A66 is pretty noticeable with the window open, impacting your peace at night. A sliding bathroom door that doesn't fully shut might be a nuisance for more privacy-conscious guests. If you're planning a longer stay, expect the breakfast choices to get repetitive after a couple of days, as options remain somewhat limited.

A fantastic stay with friends! We hiked the scenic trails, explored the Theatre by the Lake, and enjoyed the best homemade cakes. The hosts were super helpful and made us feel at home. The room was cozy, and the breakfast was top-notch with fresh local ingredients. Can't wait to return!
There were times when it was a bit noisy at night, which disturbed our sleep a little.
